Air Butler
This is is a smart home air-purifying system that helps the air condition at home reach its optimal state in the most efficient way. It consists of sets of sensors, mobile app and robotics on the air purifier that can communicate among each other, creating an intelligent system that provides information on and control over the air quality at home.

Air Butler ​entered and won Autodesk Smart Home Design Challenge, Shanghai, 2015. Air Butler prototype was built with Arduino Yun, with customized PCB board and 3D Printing.

My freshman year American roommate left NYU Shanghai after a couple of months, largely because of the respiratory disease she acquired from air pollution in Shanghai. This hit me hard and made me realize the pressing nature of the hazardous air environment that my friends, family and myself live in. Watching people around me give up education and opportunities due to air pollution was so upsetting. I decided to do something about it. Since the beiginning of 2015, I have embarked on a number of air quality related projects.
